Percussion Ensemble

Students must have a certain percussion experience or permission from the tutor to join the ensemble. It provides an opportunity for all percussion students to learn ensembleship. Students will learn the concepts of rhythm, texture, balance, blend and rudiments as they develop their role as ensemble members.

African Drumming

Teaching the music of West Africa through the study of indigenous rhythms and songs with a rich musical culture.

本中心特設單對單幼兒音樂啟蒙課程 (Music Fun)，專為2歲或以上的小朋友設計，讓他們可以從音樂遊戲中學習，提升小朋友對音樂的敏感度、節奏感、歌唱及聽音能力，並讓他們接觸不同的樂器。單對單的好處是，課程可以按其進度彈性調整，對小朋友進行針對性訓練，事半功倍。

Learning a single pop song at the student's choice, who can learn to play a particular song with a particulary instrument in a relatively short period of time. Course content includes basic performing techniques, basic score reading and improvisation skills.

This one-to-one course consists of 8 sessions of 1-hour lesson. The student shall choose between classical piano, electronic keyboard, electronic drums, classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar or saxophone.

Beginner Course

Apart from basic performing techniques, the beginner course teaches skills of chords as well. It suits anyone without any music background.

Intermediate Course

Mastering the chord techqniues, fill-ins shall be the primary focus of intermediate course. It suits those who have finished the beginner course or those who already got knowledge on chords (or basic patterns for drums)

Advanced Course

It focuses on digging out the chords of a song and improvisation skills, allowing the student to play a song even without a score. It suits those who have finished the intermediate course or those who can master chords playing.

Remarks

Course contents shall be adjusted according to students' wishes and special circumstances

Piano, electronic keyboard and drums shall be provided by The 440 Studio, while other instruments (e.g. classical guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and saxophone) are to be self-arranged. The student can purchase the instrument through The 440 Studio too.

The 8-session course is non-refundable. It cannot be transferred to other courses nor other people.
